As a colorblind person this book offers essential insight into an area that is much needed. “Color will skew our perceptions and permeate our psyche…” which is why this book is such a useful source for this thesis. Color is a critical tool and this book provides wonderful information regarding how to apply color in a broad range of applications and media.
Environmental Geology

Montgomery’s book is organized allowing for easy reference to specifics regarding historical geology. In particular the chapter entitled a “First Look” along with several others including “Ice and Glaciers, Wind and Deserts” will be useful to this project.

This book is a wonderful source which offers a combination of text and visuals which offer inspiration. In fact, this will be a good source to refer to as it reveals a variety of inspiring ideas about a variety of products, information, and touches upon the use of color as well as cultural influences.

This book provides chapters which are designed to assist one who is working with the web. It openly states that it will assist designers to create more attractive and usable sites. It is broken down into three sections: HTML, CSS, and PRACTICAL. Ultimately this books visuals and text are presented in a way that it will be a wonderful reference in assisting with the creation of this thesis.

Sharp provides readers with a condensed version of the study of glaciers. There are several black and white images which are scattered throughout the text for visual reference. Overall this book does offer a wonderful textual source of information especially in regard to vocabulary.

This book provides a plethora of information and imagery which will be wonderful information for this project.

This is a book which provides considerable information
in such a way that it offers inspiration for this projects
final outcome.

This book provides an overview of “Historical Geology” in general. This book has the potential of offering considerable information with chapters dedicated to
the “events” which helped to create the landforms which exist in the region.
Typography Essentials:

This book provides images and examples along with explanations as to the “effective use of typography.” It is a wonderful source for this thesis project as type is a crucial aspect of this project.

This book will provide an excellent source for how best
to display and design the data for this thesis.
Universal Principles of Design.

This book is considered a “cross-disciplinary reference of design.” It is full of great illustrations which provide visual examples of what works when, how, and why. This will be a great asset and reference for this thesis.
